In this One Thing Cica B5 Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen review, I find a formulation which is poo poo. Thanks go to Ruth for the sunscreen sample!
Today while I was having my morning bathroom dialogue with my wife, I realized I only really like writing posts for either very terrible sunscreen, or mind-blowingly amazing sunscreen. Everything else is just like, “oh ok great mmmmhhhmmmmmm.” I really like the emotional hit of being extremely surprised by how badly a sunscreen performs, or just wowed at the amazing protection (and by extension, the VALUE) a sunscreen provides. Testing bad sunscreen gives me a hit of dopamine that makes me happy. Its probably why I like metal detecting too – I don’t care what I find, as long as I find something that I wasn’t expecting (which is all the time). Keep in mind though, my feelings about a sunscreen affects neither directly, nor indirectly, the results that I post on this site. Results are entirely based on how the sunscreen performs in the sunscreen machine.

Prepared slide BEFORE testing
The One Thing Cica B5 Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen distributed very unevenly despite still being a medium-low viscosity.
On spot-testing on the thicker layered portions of the slide sample, the UV protection went up to 90%, however I am sure most people wouldn’t want to leave such a thick white layer of sunscreen on their face.
