The Trader Joes daily facial SPF 40 mineral sunscreen is a mineral formulation which contains Zinc Oxide at 20.4%. Interesting side note – the first inactive ingredient listed on the Trader Joe’s web page is misspelled.
The Trader Joes daily facial SPF 40 mineral sunscreen reduced 91.98% of irradiated UVA, 88.70% UVB, and 91.77% of total UVI. For reference, a very high performing SPF 50 sunscreen typically blocks 95-99% of detected UV, so results in the lower 90% is spot on.
