Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50

Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50 sunscreen lotion (★★)

Quick Summary:

Date Tested: 8/1/2026

In this Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50 sunscreen lotion review, I test a subpar SPF 50 sunscreen. Thanks go to Zoe for this sample!

The Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50 is a chemical sunscreen formula which contains Avobenzone at 3%, Homosalate at 7%, Octisalate at 5%, and Octocrylene at 5%.

I think beauto of Joseon is trying to get into the US market with their brand. However, due to the restrictive FDA approved UV filters, they needed to reformulate their UV blocking cocktail. Unfortunately, they still need a bit of tinkering to do to get good results.

The Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50 reduced 55.44% of irradiated UVA, 51.04% UVB, and 55.14% of total UVI. Not great at all.

The Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF 50 distributed unevenly on the prepared slide sample, and had major thinning towards the center of the slide sample. This is likely due to the low-viscosity of the formula.
